IMPROVING GRADES |
I am glad to see so many of you wanting to improve your grades in the 4th quarter when you have access to an alternative grading model. This speaks very positively to your character and reflects why you are such high-performing students.
Quizizz assignments were intended to review Key Concepts and major historical connections in preparation for last week's College Board exam. They were opened four times apiece so that they could be completed no matter how many times they were missed/forgotten, you needed timing flexibility or wanted a higher score, or if extra review was necessary right up until 1:00 PM the day of the AP exam. Links were available in emails, Reminds, and on my website, and the assignments were posted in Focus. To be clear, there were a minimum of four notifications on four different platforms and over three weeks to complete them; this is ample opportunity. However, distance learning has been a challenging transition on many levels and, despite the exam being over for most of you, I do not want your grades to reflect poorly when you have been engaged throughout the process. To that end, I am opening the assignments one last time. These links expire on Monday, June 1 at 8 AM so I have enough time to finalize grades. You can take them as many times as you like; you can replace a lower grade that you would like to improve; you can take them because you just miss school; but you must use your FIRST and LAST NAME and your NUMBER if you want the score(s) to count. Units 1-2 (1200-1450): https://quizizz.com/join?gc=5606512 Units 3-4 (1450-1750): https://quizizz.com/join?gc=8317171 Units 5-6 (1750-1900): https://quizizz.com/join?gc=9128633 I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching you this year and I hope that, when we return to Leon in person, you come see me so I can tell you so in person. I wish our time together had not been cut short (and, for a fair number of you, yet again). |
