This is it - our last time period! This is an era of advanced weaponry, instantaneous communications and a global population that continues to expand at an unprecedented rate. Advances in science play a pivotal role in both preserving and destroying our ecosystems, while communities strengthen their bonds through economic and cultural alliances. As we navigate the Contemporary World as a global community, we will witness some of mankind's greatest triumphs, worst atrocities, and a spirit of survival that speaks to humanity's continuous resilience.
